What do I need to provide to create a model request?
Engineer's base CAD (DWG format is preferred) and full set of civil plans in PDF format.
Can the Smart Construction Design team provide models for Trimble or Leica format?
Yes, we can provide all of our models in multiple formats, including Topcon, Trimble, and Leica. We support industry-standard file formats: .TP3, all Trimble file types and all Leica formats.
Does Smart Construction Design provide earthwork quantity take-offs?
Yes, we can provide material quantities, cut/fill maps, dirt volumes, and import/export volumes.
What is the difference between 2D line work, 3D polylines, and utility surfaces?
- 2D line work specifies horizonal position and no elevation information.
- 3D polyline specifies horizonal position, design elevation and flow/invert elevation
- Utility surfaces are surfaces to a specified width at flow invert elevation
Are your surfaces compatible with IMC 2.0 machines?
We provide a smooth, concise, and proper dense surface that has been found to work well with all Komatsu IMC machines.
